RheoWare ForMview (thermoforming)

This software technology focuses on thermoforming (sheet reheat, forming and solidification) and includes the prediction of the following systems:

  • Thermoforming with multiple plugs
  • Thermoforming of profile heated preforms or sheets

The core program solves the non-isothermal solid mechanics constitutive equations specifically for the individual phases of the thermoforming process:

  • Sheet reheating
  • Sheet formation
  • Part solidification and warpage

Pre-processor is an interactive user-friendly interface which guides the user through the input of key process parameters. Input is accomplished by simply entering processing conditions and material properties. Alternatively, material properties can be loaded from a database.

Virtual design of optimal plug shape and forming technique for aeronautical application using PACE FormView avoids major processing problems.
