RheoWare BlowView (Blow Molding)

This software technology focuses on two processes:

  1. Extrusion blow moulding :
    • Parison extrusion
    • Inflation
    • Solidification
    • Warpage
  2. Injection stretch blow moulding :
    • Preform reheat
    • Inflation
    • strech blow molding

And includes the prediction of the following systems:

  • Blow moulding with multiple tooling
  • Blow moulding of round, oval and programmed parisons
  • Blow moulding of profile heated preforms

The core program solves the non-isothermal solid mechanics constitutive equations

specifically for the individual phases of the blow moulding process:

  • Preform reheating
  • Parison formation
  • Parison/preform inflation
  • Part solidification and warpage

Pre-processor is an interactive user-friendly interface which guides the user through the input of key process parameters. Input is accomplished by simply entering processing conditions and material properties. Alternatively, material properties can be loaded from a database.

Existing industrial part got a 25% weight reduction, 10% cycle time reduction and quality improvement. New part debug time is reduced by 6-8 weeks.

Input/output formats

  • CAD/CAE Geometry import via STL, PATRAN, AUTOCAD, Unigraphics, IDEAS or Ansys (through Ansys-Patran converter)
  • Export results for structural analysis to ANSYS format
